Partner in Crime.
saturday.. that was. its been too long since i did shopping with lisa. The last time i can remember was before we went to jakarta... and when was that?
she wanted to do some raya shopping.. clothes..shoes and some girl's stuffs. I have nothing specific in mind. I don't think i'm gonna celebrate raya as i used to. To me raya this year is just like any other days. I'm just looking forward for the fact that i don't have to commute to work and walk the same route every working day. I was eyeing for the crumpler bag i make fuss about.
We went to the 3rd floor and i tried on the 4 mil dollar home. It seems that it couldn't fit my camera in and i'm definitely gonna have to consider 5 mil onwards. 5mil has perfect room for my dSLR + external flash + 1 lense (perhaps can fit in another prime lense). The price was not that bad.. RM269 i reckon. I think the price is slightly higher in Aussy. Couldn't help it but to try that Whickey & Cox too! My god.. guess i'm gonna have to consider this one too. Perfect room for my mac + toys. Lisa kinda interested to get the bag for her laptop too. I seriously recommend anyone who is getting a bag for their gears. Take note.. KLCC (3rd Floor - end wing)
Being a woman, we have a solid excuse not to puasa. So did lisa. Being loyal crime partners for about 10 years, we planned to have japanese mission. We were eyeing for some sushis and california roll. I was drooling over, 100% attention on the colorful sushis till i was poked by someone. Ops! my ex fitness instructor!! Erm... caught in the act! kantol BIG time! Ahh who cares lah! He was making fun of me but i bet he understand really well. Looking good as always.. he passed me his bussiness card.. and that killer draggy look he gave was like a hint (you have to call me so we could plan for a movie) arghh.. me and my imagination!! hahahah.. but why not?! :P
We had a packet of sushis and the problem was.. where to eat?? I don't want to be caught red-handed for eating in the public! As we decided to go to Times Square.. we planned not to drive.. took the cab instead. We passed the first cabby as we purposely looking for a non-muslim cabby. (atleast we still have some respect!). The second cab was a chinese cabby. We started the mission.. lisa definitely will have to eat something before she consumes her pain-killer so it was totally understandable.. hehehe... me? erm.. didn't have anything since last night.. so before gastric comes and ruin my day i betta eat something.. yeke? hehehhe. By glimpse i could see the cabby was trying to peep through his rear view mirror. He might have a bad impression towards us. How i wish i could explain to this chinese guy.. But takkan nak masuk bab2 agama and haid plak??? bummer!! Outa the silence he suddenly voiced out..
Cabby : You tara puasaka???
Us : Kita orang perempuan ada excuse ma. perempuan saja.. lelaki mesti mau puasa..
Cabby : *scratch head*
oookaaayyy... not good.. not good.. i don't want him to have bad impressions towards our community.. but anyway, i was glad it didn't take long to reach Time Square so the cab driver won't have more killing questions to ask.. else lisa has to start her ceramah on this.
I did mention to lisa that my mission is ONLY to get a pair of sandals. Lisa knew me well.. she doubt it. I have not done any girls shopping for some time. Another male friend insisted me to get this therapy. According him, i need to pamper myself once in a while.. feel beautiful and satisfy my inner desire as a woman. I end up buying 3 nice tops, a lipstick and a lip gloss. Alas, the sandals i wanted to get, they didn't have the size. We end up "buka puasa" around 9pm! So it was our not so sinful saturday. we had fun.. mission almost accomplished.

Tough decision. Yes. Again.
Life is full with decisions. I was struck with something that needs me to put on my thinking cap. And it better be the wise one. Sometimes letting go is the best solution in order to give way for a better one to come. It may not be the best but atleast it is better that being in regret for the things I didn't do. And this particular decision i made yesterday is one of the many tough decisions i had to make this year. I am sad but yet looking forward to see whats next. Better ? I hope.

ramadhan itu indah.
r a m a d h a n tahun ni membawa seribu erti dalam hidup aku. Tapi aku percaya setiap keburukan itu ada kecantikan. Ia menjadikan aku lebih tabah, matang dan kuat untuk mengharungi segala keperitan hidup.

i see red, yellow green.
snapshot of mom's sepit udang. Stayed home the whole day, and watching mom's plants grow is a food for the soul. (and of course since i'm fasting again today) But don't ask me to plant flowers because i just don't have the "hand of the gardener". I hate to encounter the uninvited creatures when i start messing with soil. So, mom's the best person to do it.Snapshot was captured wih macro lense using spot metering. I couldn't remember the exif..

The Bitter Truth.
What if out of your jolly mood, you accidentally came across a shocking news that could make you grasp for breath. Something that chocked your throat that makes you really angry, mad and want to go berserk! On the other side, you can't react on your beserkness due to external parties that related to the matter. And again you have to put on your happy mask (amir, i pinjam your happy mask for a mo; hope you don't mind) to protect the feelings of your loved ones, or your career or your future. The next day, when you face the person who cheated or hiding that bitter truth on you, you have to act like nothing happens to preserve the harmonious environment, again to protect the one you love. And this voice only screams in my heart and no one could listen to it no matter how hard i scream. Sometimes, confrontation is not the best solution. But does keeping things to yourself is good anyway? I hate to keep this vengeance. The grudges that lead to a great hatred. And this hatred could change myself into a very defensive person. I'm beginning to have this thick wall around myself and trust is the longest journey to reach from this great wall of myself.
... What would I do?? what would I DO???
... What would I do?? what would I DO???

The hectic week.

Finally! Finally! I finished my 1 week training. It is tiring to commute with that heavy big file everyday to KL. Don't mind about the physical tiresome.. but reading, attending lectures are mentally tiresome for someone who left uni life for years. Tuning back to student life is not that easy. Another 4 modules make me a certified SAP BWer. Ahahah.. dream high... where do i get another 25k?? Don't expect the co will pay for my other 4 modules.
I feel so good its finally friday.. its time to plan whats for the weekend. But i might have an assignemnt tomorrow.. will see. Or i might end up resting my back at home the whole day. Ahh... its a week before ramadhan comes and come to think of it.. i have another 4 days to pay my puasa back. Ya Allah, apa nak jadi ngan aku ni? So, i guess it left me with another fasting day tomorrow. And it gives me a strong reason to stay home. Mind and body need rest. So does my digestion system. Lets count the sheep now.. 1001.. 1002.. 1003... 100zzzzz....

a night of victory!!
I was tired, drained out, having backache and have not bowled for too long. I couldn't remember when was the last time i had my middle finger into that tight hole. (ahahah.. long enough). But sometimes its all about luck. I didn't go home empty handed. 2nd runner-up? Not bad for someonewho can't even balance herself on a bicycle.. i'm gonna have to give extra kudos to myself!! sorry, i feel like showing off this trophy. yippie!!! huarghh..this match stick can't bear this heavy eye-lids anymore.. i'm gonna head to bed with my trophy now.. nite nite people... :)

before i hit the sack.
I had a training somewhere in KL today. And it goes on till friday. Have to admit it was a drained-brain session as i tried so hard to catch my trainers accent. He's an Indian bloke from India. Nice guy. Good presenter. And not forgetting with a bunch of Arabian trainees that sum up the class to approximately 12 people. But it feels like a 30-student class! The accent is one thing and there's something about them that i couldn't tolerate. Maybe the way they speak is too loud. I'm not too fancy with loud-speakers. Anyway, it was no biggy to me. Atleast they managed to wake me up a couple times from being stranded in my own dream. But now.. at this very moment.. the moment i'm typing this blog, i caught myself stumbled a few times from this great lethargy. Maybe i'm just too tired. Maybe i need to sleep now... zzzZZZzzZZZZz

A dedication to a friend
Life is full with unexpected things. I always hated surprises. I was not a risk-taker. Not a big fan of it. To agree or not, life is about risks. And experience has taught me why we need to play with risks. And life has taught me that we can't run away from doing things we hated to do. And it also taught me that not everything in this world would come my way. Don't expect an icing on a cake most of the time. Don't expect people will nod at your arguments most of the time, don't expect the sky to be bright and blue everyday.
Friend, i'm not here to tell you whether what you do is right or wrong. Neither am here to say why you should do this to that.. I make mistakes myself.. but don't let insanity takes control. Thats foolish. Friend.. it's ok to make mistakes. Sometimes mistakes are destined to be made. And as for human whose always on denial, have to remind ourselves that shit happens for a reason. Today you or me might cry, but who knows we will smile tomorrow.
Friend, if it happens to be a mistake.. IT'S OKAY. Give yourself a credit, be proud of yourself for the courage you put. Sorry if i was not being of help enough. I am not that strong myself now.

island fever

Malas nak update blog.. went through old photos.
Found this.. a shot i took in Perhentian Kecil a year ago (or maybe 2 years ago).
Sent it to Persetankan for its latest topic "bebas".
I don't know whether it fits the topic..
ouh, this makes my feet itchy to feel the sand and run barefooted under the sunny sky.
Lisa, packup your stuffs and we're leaving....

A leap ahead.
"it feels like a drop of dew on a young green leaf"(Exif : 1/160-f3.5-S priority-35mm macro lense-spot metering-iso400)
2006 brings a lot of change to my life. I start to ask myself. What drives me? I'm no longer a chick who carries cosmetic and clothes paperbags and shop for shoes and clothes everymonth. (It's not that i don't care about how i look now.. deep down inside i still love to groom..) but there are other things that deserve more attention. When age is adden up each year, that means more commitments, responsibility and sacrifices you have to consider.
Yes, I have started something now. And at the same time I still work at the same company. Life is tough, I never say it was a piece of cake. To get things started i have to consider and bump into so many hurdles and obstacles. Family, friends and major limitation - money! My family thought i have such an expensive hobby and think I'm just wasting my money all this while. But its not that i dumped the money into the drain. I have plans and dreams that can't stop thinking of; the moment i wake up every morning.. till the time shut my lids during bedtime. It doesn't do me any good until i give it a go. So, one day the small voice in my heart started to scream and other stopping factors started to dim. Who says i was brave enough? I am not a daredevil.. I have to admit I was scared to shit and I was weak but these mix feelings feel so great. It burns my spirit. I'm not comparing myself with others and i have no intention to challenge and compete with anyone, but the only person i dare is myself.
This undivided attention takes away the leisure time i used to enjoy. I have not been lazying around being a ms.couch-potato for a long time. (Erm, atleast I know Siti's getting married today but I don't give a damn how many horses will be escorting her. LOL.) Friends, friends and friends.. I don't have many close friends but i have quite a number that i can call buddies. To my close friends, you know who you are.. I'd like to apologize to you guys if you think i'm neglecting all of you. Deep in my heart, I'm not and you are still the pillars that hold me up still.
My left hand is being very itchy this month. Money flows like water. August is the month spending. Some called me a spendthrift but these are the things that was on my 2006 wishlist. I did not put high expectation on accomplishing all at one go. But Alhamdulillah things are going pretty good. If you wonder whats this time.. I'm partially MAC and partially PC now. My sis got her Vios last saturday and I got my dream Mac.. I know its not a fair comparison. But the price of these hobbies can be traded with a down payment of a car. (thats what my sis always say. Ahahahha) Well, human are just different with preferences and characteristics. Surprisingly, I don't have even a pinch of envy towards her. Next budget Insyaallah will be a wheel. GOD knows when!??? Ayoyo.. Datuk K, why don't you pick me?? ahahahah...
What else to blog.. I have thousands in mind. This happens when you keep everything into a small can. What do you get? a rojak of stories in one blog. By the way, besides goal, dreams and career.. I am now partially metaled. Heheheh.. hell no i have not affiliated myself to any black metal associations (NEVER will).. I am now the lady in an iron teeth. (another item in my wishlist.) I hate to look myself at the mirror now and i hate to smile as the first thing you will see is this bracket of metals covering my smile. I keep telling myself that this is not permanent.. only 2 years of suffer of being another Malaysian Top Nerdy and the suffer of controlling my lusty appetite to eat. Diets changed, eating habits changed and other limitations that involved mouth. What can it possibly be? (ahahha..don't even think about it!)
Oh.. it feels good to blog again. I'm running for lunch now. Will be back with my 2nd assignment posting.. Sekapur Sirih, Sekacip Pinang with Linda and Johan soon.. stay tuned..

Yong & Rizal Solemnization
Yong Rafida & Rizal solemnization was successfully held. As this was my first bridal assignment, the nerves i had was nothing less than the bridal itself...It was one tiring day but it was worth doing. I'd like to thank Yong for giving me an opportunity and trust to capture an important milestone of your life..
I am proud and touched to see the strength of the family ties, the spirit of the neighborhood hand in hand to make the event a success. Nothing more joyful than a pure malay wedding culture with the noise of makciks jokes and laughter, cucu and grandpas teasing each other.. the smell of kawah cookings done in a most humble occasion.
presenting a kampung spirit in an urban area... have a sneak peep here.
More pics will be uploaded soon.

the best regret..
A visit to mid valley led me into something. I was accompanying a friend to a camera shop for an external flash for her camera. But it turned out into something that i couldn't pull back. And this is the most pleasant regret i've ever indulge myself to. Don't understand? Yes, regret for spending some massive amount of bucks on something that i've always wanted to have but been restricting myself from having one for the time being (as i have some other priority things to be entertain first!). But this regret pays back as tested it during my very first assignement on bridal photography and i don't want to return it back if i have the chance to do that. Presenting my 2 new toys.. my 35mm macro lense and my new 40-150 telephoto (i know its not that WOW! for a profesional photographer.. but one step at a time would be the best method right?) isn't it gorgeous? i hope its not a sin to have it now.. so macbook shall be put aside for the time being. Did i mention about my first assignment? yeah.. i'll blog about it later.. but for now forgive me for showing off my new toy.. *wink*wink*

More time, less work.
Ohh geez, its been a hectic week. I'm mad at myself. Its been a week since i blogged my last post. Everytime i open my blog, my hands are so itchy to write and my brain is bursting out with so many things that want to pour. Its like a boiling water that spills out of the pot. I've been tied up with meetings and datelines that requires me to stay back in the office. The moment i got back is already quite late and my brain seems to stop operationing and i barely spell my own name correctly. Documentations is always a hassle and tedious thing to do. A blame is on me for procastinating it. The auditor is coming in 3 weeks time and i didn't even prepare anything yet! But a sigh of relief now, my week of struggle has almost ended. But the stories, juicy ones, hot ones has almost expired.
My heart cries each time i flip the newspaper. And I guess Mawi can atleast breath normally after the awaited news of the Malaysian pop darling Siti Nurhaliza announced her love stories and overshadowed Mawi's breakup with fiance' Diana. (geez everyones talking about it everytime everywhere.. even my inbox is full with news, surat layang, songs, pictures and jokes about siti and Dato K) I couldn't care less. And i'm not going to write any further on it. I guess this news shouldn't be on top of the priority news. There are other facts and current news that deserved to be on the front cover. But erm, publisity and controversy always sells. We are busybody community.. or concern people? d'oh.
Had a long meeting with the consultant yesterday, and the project is coming to an end. We are going LIVE next week. Another sigh of relief.. i hope no hurdle comes in between. So, we had some pre-celebration and they brought us to Hilton KL Sentral (as that is the nearest best place we could think of). I guess i had too much seafood yesterday. The International spread was good. The hors d'oeuvre and the entree' were so fine and tempting. I don't want to think how many slices of fresh pink salmon, oysters and octopus i had for appetizer before my main course lobster arrived. The satisfying look i had stopped when i tried some unidentified organ until a waiter came and said it was actually a duck's liver. Erkh.. ptuih! lets stop imagining about it.. it makes me wanna puke already.
Funny thing happened in a train yesterday. I was being naughty. Peeping other people's smses. Don't blame me. The journey seems too long, the train seems too slow, and i was squeezed in between people. Where else could i point my eyes to? Well, atleast i don't simply open someone's inbox and read their smses. Just a liiiil peep. There was one girl in tudung sending a text probably to her bf addressing herself as "ayang" and her bf as "abgsyg" (abangsayang). I almost choked to giggle but i guess a smirk did came out. I kept reading a few replies but i couldn't stand it. The words seemed can't be accepted by other people except in their own world. Well, she deserves to manja-manja with her own partner ... hehehheheh.. and i managed to peep other smses too. I was so naughty. forgive me. I guess this is my workload impact.
Ok, i'm heading for breakfast now (my tummy growls and the next cubicle could possible heard it). Regardless my busy week, i managed to upload something to persetankan. I'll try to dig my external drive for fotowarung posting themed "abstract". i hope i can find any.. voila' a photo i took few months back for persetankan.. by the way, yeah i had lil time to write but i did upload some new arty here.

Arty Saturday Night.
Saturday night, rather than watching AF or enjoying the loud music while shakin booty, I choose to visit an art gallery. A place called "Gudang" (the warehouse) where the art gallery took place. I hafta admit it looked kinda dodgy from outside, but the moment i passed few hundred meters and my perception turned into a sigh of relief. The dodgy area and a dark path was lit with candles along the pathway. Magnificent. I was so impressed and antsy to peep in to see whats inside. The moment i stepped into the barn i was so impressed to see how outstanding the paintings hung on the humble wall. I can't deny my forte for art. I'm a sucker for arty farty stuffs but i don't paint. Well, i can sketch but the moment i play with colors on a canvas it will be a total ruin. Eheheh.. i'll just stick to digital art. I wish i could share the moment but i did not bring my camera just my lousy point-and-shoot camera that betrays me everytime i shoot night scenes. (mind the blurry pics!) It thought it was too bulky to bring but i think i'd rather bring the bulky black thing rather than bearing this regret. Guess i have to choose whether to walk in style or not to miss capturing the moment. I'd rather choose the latter. Been cursing myself the whole night but anyway.. thanx amir for kidnapping me to "gudang". I had a good arty-farty time, dude! But from now and then i have to start bringing my bulky black box anywhere i go.
Sunday morning, we decided to visit a friend and her newborn. Adriana Safia the name is. She was sleeping so soundly all the time except for "dairy" time. I said to azza it must be easy taking care a child who sleeps most of the time. But its tiring when she keeps active at night according to azza. But anyway, i'd like to congratulate azza and shah for the new coming member. Did i say your mom cooks excellent mee bandung?? hmm.. yummy!
I'm gonna have a loooooooong clay shower after this. ..what?? clay shower? don't ask! chow guys....

2 things to ponder..
"Seismologists around the world declared a tsunami alert after a magnitude 7.7 rocked the seafloor.. "[click here for news]
The news turned my glowing smile into frown. Last night i was laughing and enjoying my moment with lisa discussing about our next travel destination. We almost booked a flight ticket last night and today i was shocked with an sms from her about the tsunami strikes that reached approximately 7 richter scale and killed hundreds of people. The death toll is rising. A total low blow that was. We always wanted to go to bali. And this is going to be our last vacation together before she gets married. We only plan, but we can't stop the force majeure. I dare not take the risk, neither will she. Not even my parents permit me to proceed. The plan is put on hold till further notice. Lets set it aside..
On another matter, I had a dental appointment last nite. And the whole appointment left me into a bubble of contemplation. Some people are born with a perfect smile. Nice teeth to be exact. I always wanted to have a million dollar smile. Some say i look just fine with what i have. But i'm just a human being. We are born with tendency to complaint and have dissatisfactions in life. A desire. (well atleast i don't do plastic or botox!) I thought i was determined about going to brace my omnivourous teeth. But after some short conversation and interrogation between the dentist and me.. i started to think deeply.. real hard infact.
dentist : hello dear, what do you do? studying or working?
me : working.
dentist : where?
me : ^&%$#@.. (he started to insert mirrored spatula and what not inside my mouth and it made me speak in a weird language)
dentist : when are you planning to get married?
me : erm.. (blinking.. blinking) erm.. maybe next year.. maybe next 2 years.. 3 years? (in a weird pronunciation --> how should i know?????!!!!)
dentist : why haven't you come years back to put on braces?
me : (what?? am i too old for braces??) erm.. it was too expensive.
dentist : are you telling me you can afford now?
me : (wtf???? try to control my temper) yes doc.
dentist : how?
me : i'm working now.
dentist : no. you go back and think.
me : but doc....
dentist : i want you to go back and think carefully, once you are ready and willing to commit then only you come. I don't want you to come back after a month and ask me to remove it because you are geting married.
me : (what?? did i say anything about getting married?) i am ready. i want to do it.
dentist : how are you getting married next year?? smile with steel covering your teeth? now wash your mouth.
me : (again... who says about getting married????????) but doc..
dentist : you can talk to my nurse outside. Thank you (trying to act polite)
me : (left him without even smiling) what the??.... (orang tua ni taknak duit ke?)
my conversation with the nurse made me think real hard.. should i proceed or not to proceed. I know i'm not the only one who's going to wear braces..but will it look ugly on me? no. correction. will i look ugly in it? Will i be the next malaysian's top nerdy??? Why do i get so disturbed with the statement? whats the BIG deal? its just few lines of metal covering your teeth for about 600 days. Not too bad.. and who cares??? So what if i'm ugly.
I think i will proceed with it. Yes, i'm going to do it. Doc, my teeth is under your responsibility now.

the temple of dawn - Wat Arun
Pics taken during my recent trip to Bangkok. The view was spectacular. I bet the temple will look even more breath-taking during dawn. The moment i stepped on the steep stairs it was already drizzling. I'd have shot more angles if it didn't rain :( Anyway, these are the shots that i manage to shoot .. enjoy!
