need a haircut, anyone?

ahhhhh.. Have not been writing as frequent as i wished to! First of all, Happy 2010, Happy Birthday to me.. Happy Thaipusam, Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentines Day!

I will try to write as much as i can this year.. sigh. I know again another weak vow. I hate to use the word 'busy' again, but most of the thing that contributed to that word resides here.

Some of you might know that i do have a cat. This lil comot darling of mine is getting less and less attention from the boss these days. If she can talk she'd have yelled and shouted how desperately she needs a shower.

Okay, after procrastinating more than a month, i gave my cat a shower and a new haircut. The bushy tail really needs a trim as she loves wagging especially to my face. Okay, not so hygiene there. Here it comes, an inhouse expert who hardly takes care of her own locks.

My kitty and her new look.

Coffeetable book anyone?

I've always wanted to create a coffeetable book for myself, as in for my own keep. I want to document my travelogue and my personal masterpieces in a book. Again being a great and successful procrastinator makes its just a word year after year.

This time, i get the chance to test how the photos look in a form of a book. I was on an assignment and required to document an event for Malakoff in a coffeetable book form. I was skeptic at first. The template i downloaded wasn't convincing enough because i don't get to see the outcome like how i see in photoshop. Well we will never know until we try. Everything is done online, from the payment method to the process of uploading the photos. They can even deliver it to you at your doorstep, of course with an additional charges. But i decided to selfpick. Not being a cheapskate, but i'd love to meet the person i'm dealing with and look for some other samples too.

I was quite surprised with the outcome! It turned out so profesionally. Even though the people incharged of assigning me this job didn't give any feedbacks or comments as i wished (i even asked) for, but i think i know i did a good job. The printing company contacted me via email and ask me if they can use the cover page i did for Malakoff for their official website in the ideas section. It was delightful for me. Thanks to mom's backyard and her brilliant plant.

Sometimes, we just need to think outside of the box and create something a lil bit more creative regardless with a very limited resources.

i need sugar!

I was stressed out with work and its hard keeping people around you happy. Overloading datelines and dealing with client's requests sometimes drives me nuts! It drains me out totally. But i know at the end of the day, seeing the smile upon their face is the biggest reward could possibly be.

Hang on clients.. your albums will be ready soon! In a mean time, a shot of this boost my energy and keep me sane to think creatively. Thanks Mr Haagy!

Thaipusam 2010

The first time i shot Thaipusam was about 3 years ago. At that time, i told myself its not gonna be anymore of it. The fact of the massive crowd and the bad traffic makes me think twice about going.

This year, i just knew i need to do it again. My shutterbug buddies did think of going but most did not keen enough when it comes to rise early and fighting for a parking. Fine, I decided a night before to do it no matter what even if i had to go alone. I think i need to get my adrenaline rush and fall in love with photography again. Being tied with wedding shoots and back to back shooting assignments makes me like a machine. I need to get my groove back before i become a trigger happy shooter. LOL.

Was accompanied by a non-photog friend who don't mind experiencing the culture. Its not something that easy to capture a good scene whilst having to fight for air. I was squeezing myself among thousands of devotees, photographers and tourists around the world who were there to witness the ritual offerings to lord murugan.

I did not regret doing this, again.

(translation) this girl is a big eater!

wanna have a stroll with me?

It was cloudy. It did drizzle. We crossed our fingers and still hit the location hoping it was just false alarm. My assistant told us the weather forecast he googled this morning says it won't rain in kl. But it did drizzle a drop or two. As time reaches 6pm, the sun started to shine a lil and thats the best time to capture my wedding couple, imam and dayah.. the mood was set, the view was undeniably breathtaking and hey, the most important thing is we had a great time!

just because..

just because i work at home, doesn't mean i'm having leisure time..
just because i'm doing my own business, doesn't mean i have lots of cash..
just because i'm quiet, doesn't mean i'm being ignorant..
just because i talk little, doesn't mean i'm anti social..
just because i don't clarify, doesn't mean i'm guilty or wronged..
just because i choose to silent, doesn't mean i have no feelings..
just because i don't fight back, doesn't mean you or your friends can judge me as you wish..
just because i choose to be doubtful, doesn't mean i don't trust you.

work my ass.

I was advised to do more hillwork in my running regime although he knows i curse without fail when it comes to one. For a more good looking legs and buttocks.. thats the trick! So, i took the challenge. The first time when i did the hillwork at Bukit Kiara Park.. I was like.. what the...???!! Damn i think the stretch is longer and steeper than the famous double hill nearby Lake Garden. My heartbeat was jumping hard it al felt like bursting. I ended up walking all the way up.

I wasn't feeling well today. I had temperature this morning as i went to the clinic this morning the doc said i had fever. I really wanted to push my body and see if my body can fight the virus naturally.. by running. Some says its stupid and you should not run during fever.. but i'm gonna have to try anyway, well if i couldn't run, i'll walk.

So we went to the same hill again. The moment i reached Bukit Kiara Park, it started to rain. bummer. We decided to wait for a bit hoping the rain would stop. I can see other joggers with umbrella walking and some decided to wait in the car.. The rain didn't totally stop, it drizzled so we decided to just give it a go. half way up, the rain started to pour again.. harder. We kept on running. There were no other runners just some folks walking with umbrella giving us strange look. They must have thought we are 2 insane people running under the rain on a hill.. not a good idea? hell it actually feels great! i watched my step carefully.. the path was slippery but i keep myself in focus and keep my breathing right. We finished a nice 5km and hey.. we are so going again tomorrow!

my bums sore!

heroic cat.

i was thrilled to find out there's a cat sleeping erm.. taking a nap on a tyre underneath a car in front of kedai mamak i had my cheese naan after my run in ttdi. Presenting.. the heroic cat a.k.a kucing berani mati!!!
